About the Position: Irvine Ranch Conservancy (IRC) has an opening for a full-time Program Manager to lead its Community Engagement and Education team. The Program Manager oversees all the projects and activities within the Community Engagement and Education program, including supervising program staff, creating and implementing environmental education and other interpretive activities, overseeing existing program projects and activities, and extensively collaborating with internal and external partners. The Program Manager will have the flexibility to develop new ideas and projects in service of IRC’s mission.
The Successful Candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental education and interpretation, environmental science, ecology, social sciences, or similar field of study; five (5) years of experience in a related field; and the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Salary Range: $33.65 - $37.00 per hour ($70,000 - $77,000 per year)

The Successful Candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental education and interpretation, environmental science, ecology, social sciences, or similar field of study; five (5) years of experience in a related field; and the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Experience managing staff, including performance management.
- Demonstrated understanding of informal learning and inquiry-based approaches to learning, including project-based learning and STEAM.
- Experience creating and implementing environmental education or other interpretation activities.
- Experience with environmental or other interpretation and communication.
- Strong familiarity of the local environment preferred, but not required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365, particularly working in the SharePoint environment.
