Summary:
As a Community Schoolyards Intern, you will be responsible for providing support to the Tribal
Schoolyards Associate Director and Senior Program Manager and others through a variety of
projects. The Community Schoolyards intern will assist with the development and design of
schoolyard concept plans, sections and rendered plans, and other creative tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities:
The Commuity Schoolyards Intern’s primary duties include but are not limited to:
• Work with team members to develop concept plans based on student designs,
• Prepare images to coincide with concept design features,
• Develop rendered exhibits to convey the concept designs in plan, section and
perspective as appropriate.
Essential Skills:
• High functioning knowledge of Windows Hardware,
• Must be proficient in basic design programs of Adobe Creative Suite,
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified timeframe,
• Organized, dependable and detail oriented,
• Very strong research skills, time management, and planning skills,
• Desire to learn fast, self-motivated and organized.
Other needs:
• High-speed internet,
• Access and proficiency with AutoCAD,
• Adobe Suite, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
• Personal Computer, that can be used for work (either Mac OS, or Windows OS),
This is a part-time, temporary position, anticipated to last approximately three months, with a
possible extension if agreed upon by both parties. You will be working remotely and be
expected to attend two to three meetings per project. Pay is commensurate with experience
ranging $22-$24 per hour.
